OWA search in Shared Folder "An error occurred while searching"

Hi!

Exchange 2013 Cu7 + Windows Server 2012 R2 Std

We have two mailboxes: User1 and Helpdesk, every mailbox have their own database.

I am logged in User1 mailbox in OWA and add as a Shared Folder Helpdesk mailbox.
After that, i am starting to search in Inbox folder of Helpdesk mailbox. Searching by sender email address and got an error: "An Error Occurred while searching. Please try Again".
If i logged in Helpdesk mailbox in OWA, i can search with no problems.

What have i tried: restart both Search services, rebuild searching indexes for both databases. No luck(

Hi,

Please make sure User1 has Full Access permission to Helpdesk mailbox. We can run the following command to check it:

Get-MailboxPermission -Identity Helpdesk -User User1

If the permission is correct, please try the following steps to search the Helpdesk mailbox:

1. Access User1 mailbox in OWA 2013.

2. Click the dropdown of User1 > Open shared mailbox in the top right corner of OWA.

3. Type Helpdesk and click Open.

4. In the new opened tab, search the Inbox folder of Helpdesk mailbox and check whether the issue persists.

If the permission is not correct, please run the following command to add the permission:

Add-MailboxPermission -Identity Helpdesk -User User1 -AccessRights FullAccess

If the issue persists, please move the Helpdesk mailbox to the same database with User1 to have a try.

Hello and thank you for your quick response.

If i made steps 1-4 and open Helpdesk mailbox in OWA, i can search without any problems. This problem happens only when i loged in OWA as User1 and try to search inside attached Helpdesk mailbox. User1 have Full Access for Helpdesk mailbox.
